NoiseAtWork Licence – VirtualStore Instructions
Place the licence files DGMR.LIC and DGMR.LICX in the NoiseAtWork program folder.
If NoiseAtWork still starts in demo mode after replacing the licence files, this is most likely caused by Windows' VirtualStore functionality.
When a program needs write access to a file in a location where it does not have sufficient permissions, Windows may redirect the relevant files — in this case DGMR.LIC and DGMR.LICX — to a location where the program does have write access. This location is called the VirtualStore.
As a result, replacing the licence files in the original NoiseAtWork installation folder may not take effect, because Windows may continue to use the older licence files stored in the VirtualStore. In that case, the old licence files need to be removed.
Since NoiseAtWork is a 32-bit (x86) application, its VirtualStore folder is located under Program Files (x86):
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\DGMR\NoiseAtWork <version>
Delete either the entire NoiseAtWork <version> folder from this location or only the DGMR.LIC and DGMR.LICX files.
Then restart NoiseAtWork. Windows will create a new VirtualStore entry when necessary, using the new licence files, and NoiseAtWork should start with the correct licence.
