Can I use Cloud storage (e.g. Dropbox or OneDrive) for storing iNoise projects?
Yes,
provided that projects are used by one person at a time.
Our
experience of storing projects on OneDrive are positive when projects are used
by one person at a time. This approach should be suitable for using OneDrive,
Sharepoint, etc to store projects.
Multiple
users accessing a project is not recommended as iNoise writes model changes
immediately and, when stored on a collaborative platform, the cloud service
synchronisation and saving process can interfere with iNoise's file handling,
risking corruption of the project.
Note:
Microsoft Azure file storage is a robust alternative to cloud storage based
collaborative solutions, as it operates more like a regular file server than
collaborative solutions like Dropbox or Onedrive.
